Meet Aaron Kelly

FuturePath CFO was founded to help ambitious business owners turn numbers into strategy. Drawing on years of experience leading finance teams, managing cashflow, and executing deals on both the buy and sell side, I bring corporate-level financial insight to SMEs in a simple, practical way.

I’ve worked with businesses at different stages – from early scale-up through to more established SMEs – focusing on cash, profitability, funding and board-level reporting. The goal is always the same: clear information, better decisions, stronger outcomes.

Career background & experience

I’ve spent more than 25 years in finance — 15 of those as an FD or CFO — helping business owners get real control over their numbers and use them to drive better decisions. I’ve worked with everything from fast-growing start-ups to multi-billion-pound groups, across industries like manufacturing, telecoms infrastructure, transport, FMCG and hospitality.

What I’ve learned is that finance only adds value when it’s fully connected to how a business really works. I like to get under the skin of an operation — where cash gets stuck, where margins slip, and what really drives performance — then build simple, practical ways to bring clarity and control.

Over the years I’ve managed cashflow in tough conditions, built finance teams from scratch, and led or advised on more than 30 buy- and sell-side deals. My focus is always the same: turn finance from a reporting function into a strategic partner that helps the business grow, scale and realise its value.
